Anna's 2nd Birthday Party!

Anna turned two and we had lots of family over to celebrate. She opened up presents until she couldn't stay awake! Anna had much of her family over. It was great having everyone together to celebrate Anna's big day. Oh my, how they grow up. Anna loves wearing her sunglasses and carrying her new purse around.

Anna Turns Two!!!

Anna turned two years old! She is a big girl now. She is a master of saying the words, "no," or "daddy no," or "stop," or "daddy, go away." We still love her anyway. For her birthday, we gave her a kitchen. She no longer needs to use a bookcase as a refridgerator for her toy food.

Anna Parties with Her Friends

Anna turned two and she had a party with her friends. The ate cake and played a mousehunt game (which was very applicable because it was a kitty themed party!

Getting Ready to Party!!!

Anna helped put out balloons for her birthday party and then put on her party dress and awaited her friends' arrival.

Hiking!!!

You all probably already know that Anna loves to go for a hike in the backpack. (She calls it, "batpat"). We went for a hike on the trails in Hubbard Park behind the statehouse in Montpelier. There is a tall stone tower in the park that looks out over the valley. We climbed to the top and then had a picnic at the base of the tower. Anna loved picking flowers for mommy and daddy in the surrounding field.

The Architect

Anna loves building with her blocks. She loves to make towers and then knock them over while saying, "boom." She created the two towers in front of her all on her own.

4th on the Beach

We spent some time during the 4th of July on Thayers Beach in Colchester along the shore of Lake Champlain. It was a beautiful day. Anna played in the sand with her shovels and buckets. She calls shovels, "scoops." We went back a couple days later with Kristin and Nathan. Anna got to play in the sand with her friend and we saw a mommy duck with her six ducklings. Anna went in the water in her boat, but she didn't like it one bit. She also isn't a big fan of walking in the sand. Something we need to practice.

Takin Judys on a Walk

Anna loves her dolls, Judy Green and Judy Pink. Anna also loves to go on adventures with Mommy and Daddy in her backpack. Today she got to use a toy of Mommy's when she was young. It is a backpack for babies to hold their babies. Anna had a great time taking her babies on a walk with Daddy.

All Aboard the Chew Chew Train!!!

Anna loves trains. When the Champlain Valley Flyer started up again for the summer season, we had to get tickets and take Anna on the train ride. We arrived a little early, so we fed the ducks and Anna and Mommy got to swing in a bench swing. Finally we boarded the train. Anna loved the noises of the train. Daddy and Mommy enjoyed relaxing on the train and the beautiful views of Lake Champlain. Of course, her doll Judy had to join us on the ride.

ECHO on Daddy's Birthday

On Daddy's birthday, she went to the ECHO Center with Daddy, Nonnie, Grandma, and Grandpa. She saw fish, turtles, snakes, and frogs. She really enjoyed playing in the playroom with other kids and with Nonnie and Grandma.
